“May I ask please why this is described as wireless if it needs to be plugged in? Also is there any lighting on the camera that will turn on when recording at night in a dark room? Thank you for your help!”

Because the video itself travels over WiFi. It is wireless. Of course the unit has to have power and that is the only part you have to plug in, to a power outlet. Since it uses Micro USB, you could conceivably provide battery power instead and then the whole thing is pretty much wireless. The night vision infra red lights come on when the room is dark, and does a pretty good job illuminating the area being viewed and/or recorded.

Yes, when you look on your phone, the room can be totally dark but you can still see! It’s amazing. I have 2 of them including one that looks out my front window. Even in the middle of the night I can look on my phone and see a live pic and it is so clear. Hope that helps.
