Yes; however when mounting a camera behind a pane of glass, please be advised that the infrared LEDs will reflect off the glass when activated at night, distorting the image. In such cases, we recommend disabling the night vision LEDs via the app, and ensuring the monitored area has adequate ambient lighting (i.e. outdoor lights). Regards, TP-Link Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I got one mounted just like that. However there are some caveats: - If you have a screen it will distort the video but still get and OK but grainy shot. You can mount upside down and screw it to the top of the window head and avoid the bug screen with included hardware and screws. - THE CAMERA WILL NOT WORK IN NIGHT VISION MODE ! Basically the infra red lights bounce right back off the glass and you cannot see anything. If you have lights outside it will work at night and quality depends on amount of light. I have post light and flood lights on motion sensor and with those I can get an image but it's not as good as the other cam I have that is indoors and has very good night vision for the price. There are settings for you turn night mode off and motion sensitivity so that's a plus.
