Nope. I wish I had seen this answer before buying this camera for this exact reason. Looks like I’ll be returning this
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You can not connect this camera to an unsecured hotel wifi. I bought this camera for this exact purpose and it doesn’t work. -disappointed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Our Kasa Cams are easy and intuitive to install using our Kasa app. Please bear in mind that an encrypted (i.e. WPA/WPA2 password protection) 2.4GHz WiFi network is required for setup and use. Please verify with the hotel first whether their network meets these requirements. Regards, TP-Link Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you have to set it up in the KASA app on your home WiFI to use it out side of your home WiFi you would have to register the Hotel WiFi as yours with all of your devices being changed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure. I only use from the home internet. The hotel probably has unsecured internet access, which might be an issue. However, it would seem as long as the camera is linked to the hotel internet, you might be able to monitor using the Kasa app. It should be noted you will need to have a cell signal when using the app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
