No it cannot be reset through the APP you actually have to physically press the reset button on the camera and hold it to reset it, but if you close the app and reopen the app again it usually clears up any problems unless it’s your connection but most times out of any it’s my phone being slow that causes a minute disruption, it is also worthy to mention you can control the camera quality so if you have sucky connectivity you can save a little hassle by selecting a lower resolution
