“Will this work on a light right outside my front door?”

• Mine is the carport light and works fine just as long as it has a globe and is enclosed.

• As long as the bulb sizes are the same & your wifi reaches that far, which it should. Most cases you can pick up your wifi on the street in front of your house. If it's a normal light bulb. TP link A19. If it's shaped different or another size take to the store with you. TP link makes different bulbs we found one that we needed for the patio. Works great.
