The TP-Link Wi-Fi range extender will not perform miracles but it helps. Setup is easy if your router has a WPS button. Once it's properly configured, you'll need to experiment with placement to get the best signal strength. Ideally, you should place the extender halfway between your TV and the router. It also helps if there are relatively unobstructed lines of sight between the router and the extender and also from the extender to the TV. In my home, there were no electrical receptacles in the appropriate places, so I purchased a mountable power strip so I could plug in the extender in the optimal location. Lastly, the extender creates its own wireless network that mirrors the Wi-Fi signal it extends. Make sure your TV is connected to the extender's signal to achieve the best signal strength. The extender does a good job of penetrating drywall but I can't promise it will work through stucco or plaster.
