This is a WiFi extender. So it all it does is extend the range of your Wifi signal (like a daisy chain). It requires a wireless connection to your Internet modem/router. It does not use the electrical cables in the wall. The ethernet connection is for hooking up a device that doesn't have WiFi (this device takes the ethernet signal and 'converts' it into WiFi allowing a device that does not have WiFi to be able to use Wifi).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so, It uses a broadcast frequency, not the wireled outlet (that is there to power it) It does not use the powerlines of the house. There are other products out there that do. You have to put this device in an outlet that is about 1/2 way to 3/4 way from the oringinal wireless router.
