• You still need some type of modem. Be sure to get compatible with internet provider and HAS AN ETHERNET PORT.

• No, these Powerline adapters do not use phone jacks (RJ-11 connector), they use Ethernet (RJ-45) connectivity. Regards, TP-Link Support
