This Powerline starter kit is designed to provide convenient Ethernet extension. Simply connect one adapter to your router, then the other to your Xbox or PC via Ethernet cable. Please note this kit is not designed to provide WiFi extension; for that we would recommend one of our Powerline WiFi kits. Regards, TP-Link Support
