Q: QuestionWill the TL135E bulbs work well in an enclosed space? I'd like to use one in a ceiling fan. Probably not at the full 75 watts output. Will the Energy Monitoring feature help me dial in a brightness level that stays below the rated 104°F?
Asked by okeydokey.
- A:Answer The energy monitoring for a bulb is more monitoring the energy consumption of the bulb. not monitoring of anything else. The temperature in the operating specs is related to environmental temperature, not the temperature of the white light, which is in Kelvins. As long as you keep the bulb within the operating specs the use of it in a celling fan enclosure should not be a problem. Once thing to note would be that you do not want to use a smart bulb on a dimmer circuit. While the bulb can be dimmed it should only be done through the software of the bulb and not a physical reduction of power from a manual switch.
