Yes the on/off switch works manually if necessary.
No, the Kasa app does not recognize this device.  You must use the Tapo app instead (and in doing so, you essentially "move" all your older devices from Kasa to Tapo).

Yes, the switch will still operate manually in case of an Internet or Wi-Fi outage.
