On a smartphone you get 60 minutes of talk plus 60 texts plus 60MB of data, and 90 days of usage. This is not a good plan for text only. They have a card that adds 1000 texts only, but it requires the "usage" card as well. With the 60 minute card you pay essentially $7 per month for usage, plus whatever a text only card costs. Minutes/texts/MB roll over as long as you keep "usage" active. Depending on how many texts you send, this can be way cheaper than most cell phone plans. Because I don't use a cell phone much, I have accumulated a balance of thousands of texts/minutes/dataMB over the years, but I still need to maintain "usage" by buying a new 90 day card every 3 months. For someone like me this is the cheapest plan in the USA. BTW it mostly only works in USA.
