• A:Answer Tracfone’s answer is not consistent with their current practices. I purchased the 8GB unlimited plan in Aug 22 after being assured by Tracfone that the data would carryover so long as I maintained active service. Since ny current Tracfone service is paid through July of 2023 I was surprised when Tracfone expired over 7 GB of my unused data. After over an hour trying to explain my problem to Tracfone with no satisfaction I finally had to just call give up. Although not clearly stated by Tracfone, their current policy is to carryover unused data only so long as you maintain an “unlimited “ plan. If you maintain a pay as you go plan your data will expire and be removed from your account. In my case this happened in about 60 days.

Q: QuestionMy wife has service until 7/23 with 300 minutes and 1000 text. left ....no data. Upon buying this card,what happens to those balances after 30 days ? I know the data carries over,but what about the service time and minutes/text?Do they resume as before?

• A:Answer I had this exact situation. Upon activating this card your existing plan is extended for 30 days. You also get 30 days of unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and 8GB of data. Although Tracfone advertises that your data will carry over, what they fail to clearly inform you that data will only carryover as long as you maintain an “unlimited” plan. If you have a pay as you go plan your unused data will expire and be removed from your account.

Q: QuestionMy Tracfone has triple minutes but it is starting to fail. If i get a new tracfone to replace it will all my existing minutes,text,data transfer to the new phone? Also if i buy new minutes card will they still get triple minutes?

I had several 1000s of minutes and texts and a gig or two of data. finally had to upgrade my phone and got a moto play with a year of svc and 1500 min/text/data (1.5)... had tracfone online help get me set up - it went incredibly smooth - a far and pleasant cry from years ago when tracfone had probably the worst customer service i'd ever experienced. so in my situation, yes, all my min/text/data transferred to the new phone. but now i need a lot more data and am concerned with some comments on here that say i may lose my min and text when this card's 30 days are up. - i'll be running this by tracfone's cus svc before buying one of these.

Q: QuestionI spent $40 for an 8GB data card in April and activated it in May. On Tracfone's phone app, it shows that I have zero data. When I text them to inquire about my balance, it says that I have 7.84GB data, but that it expires in June, before my Plan does!

• A:Answer It's a scam, they did that to me by saying it only lasts a month or if you pay for some other expensive service that isn't actually on the card itself and refuses to refund due to their false advertising.
