• If you mean, "Does this card activate a phone", the answer is no, texting and data only cards do not activate or add service days to a phone. If you are wanting to actually UNLOCK a phone, you will need to have one year of service if it is a TracFone branded phone.

• No, the 1000 text only card is for TEXTS ONLY. You must have a current Tracfone plan in use to activate the 1000 Text card. It is referred to as an "ADD ON". This card WILL NOT unlock anything.

• No, I don't think so. You have to have a functioning phone, it just adds additional texts one can use.
