Good morning, sammy. If your phone is connected to a WiFi network, no data balance would be used. You must turn off the data traffic under mobile networks to avoid using your data MB's.

Any Tracfone with Wifi will not count against your minutes. Remember that your data is seperated into three buckets, Minutes , Texts and Data. Older tracfones cost minutes if you went online or sent a message up. A step up from the flip phones we were previously used to :)
