- Answer Ours was. This is a good phone and Trac phone now offers monthly unlimited service. We are still very pleased with our purchase. Just ask at your local best buy store to make sure.

- Answer Sorry, I think prior answer is incorrect. If it is a tracfone, it already has the tracfone SIM card in it. An unlocked phone will require a tracfone SIM card in it, which I purchased for $5 for my unlocked 6s plus.
