I'm not sure I understand your question. When I purchased my phone from Best Buy it was a iPhone SE (locked) that had Tracfone as the carrier. If you can purchase an unlocked phone you have to provide the simcard from the carrier you choose. This is the only limitation I know. If you are inquiring on other limitations of this phone there are numerous. Possibly Best Buy can help you as they did me answer your questions.
