“I have a LG440G mob which was out of service on 5/4/16 and is saying unregistered sim.I have tried reactivation online putting in IME or Serial Number but they are not being recognised.Help,what should I do? Would buying a new SIM card help”

Once a Tracfone sim is activated, they do not allow it to be moved to another phone or be re-activated on another account. All you need is the $1 BYOP smartphone sim kit and a minutes pin to re-start your LG. You may or may not be able to use your old phone number. Tracfone reassigns unused phone numbers fairly quickly.
