I don't think BestBuy can unlock any cellphone, but I know any phone you want to use needs to be unlocked. The Tracfone sim card activation kid does NOT unlock any cellphone, it just brings cell service to an unlocked cellphone. I always bought my Tracfones through QVC or HSN since they give with the purchase of their phones, you get a year of service along with 1500, min, text and data. BUT. . . The phones are low spec and I decided to buy Unlocked cell phones - it is more money to purchase an unlocked phone but the Specs are way better than anything QVC or HSN has to offer. I bought a LG G6 unlocked (US997) - I already have a lot of minutes and text and a year of service with Tracfone so I just bought the Tracfone sim card activation kit for $1.00 and did everything online.
