• No activation fees with Tracfone. I bought this as a replacement. Have been w/Tracfone for a number of years. If you just want to make a few calls this is an excellent choice. I only use for emergencies. I buy the 60 minutes, 90 day card and it costs a little over $7 a month. Only drawback is Tracfone's customer service. It is horrible. Luckily, I have only had to contact them a few times, but be prepared to be on the phone for over 1 hr.
