• No. This is a replacement telephone for Tracphone service.

• If you're going from another company to Tracfone, I don't think you need to buy any kind of a kit. I had a tracfone and I wanted to transfer the number to this phone. I had a hard time with that because the Tracfone web site wouldn't recognize the old serial number. I ended up contacting their chat line and the guy on the chat line helped me activate the phone. I have no clue why their web site wouldn't recognize the serial number on my old phone.
