- Answer Yes. I think you would skip the set up and just get it on your wifi. If the sim is already installed I'd take it out and save it in case you change your mind later. It's easy to get at, no sim tool required.

- Answer Yes. Take the sim card out if it's pre-installed, save it, and skip the set up, other than putting in your wifi password. Should work fine.

- Answer I don't see why not. It comes with a sim card and if you don't plan on using it, take it out and save it and use the phone on your wifi. What's nice about this phone is that you can open it up and get at the sim and the battery, which is good sized. It has plenty of storage too.

- Answer The phone is locked to Tracfone. Their unlock policy states that if service is established on the Verizon network, they will unlock it after a minimum of 90 days of service on their network. Based on my experience they will. You would need to verify that your sim is compatible with the Verizon network.

- Answer There is a learning curve when moving to a Smartphone. Youtube should have some tutorials. Set up on these is pretty straightforward. This is a very good phone for the price.
