No, this grill does not burn the countertop.

No. It sirs in a base that keeps the heating element away from the countertop

This grill/griddle is amazing! I have no problem using it in my counter top. I have only use it in my granite kitchen. I haven’t tested in other surfaces! So far so good!

I put our cutting board under it as it is usually out anyway!
