• it does seem a little misleading when is says 1 free state return. If, like me, you do taxes for your kids in same state, we can all complete the fed and state tax forms (fed + Calif state), and e-file each of our Fed tax forms for free (separately, of course). But, to e-file ANY state returns costs $25 - none are free, from what I can tell. As annoying as it is, I refuse to pay the 'extra' for any of the state forms. Let the state waste time entering the info back in.

• Yes, TurboTax Deluxe +State 2021 does include Form 8936, Qualified Plug-in Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit. One state return prepared and downloaded for you to print and mail is included. To e-file, the state return would be an additional $20.
