• No it's not. These are average at best headsets and you'll have to class up a bit to get noise canceling.

• If my wife was right next to me, I can hear her if she raises her voice. However, I did not hear my 2 year old screaming from down the hallway, or the dog barking (or bell ring) when someone was ringing my doorbell. So pretty darn good noise cancelling.
