• You plug into the controller near the bottom just below the d-pad. You will then need to go into your audio settings on your console.

• No they are supposed to connect to Xbox. I got them to work on a PS3 no problem

• Newer Xbox one controllers have a built in 3.5mm headphone jack, but if yours is older I believe there is an adapter available for it, but you'd have to buy it separately. There are some other headsets that come with the adapter though
