They are powered. So they need more power than a headphone plug can provide
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know this is a weird feature, it needs to be charged so it doesn't drain your controller batteries quicker. It takes 3-4 hours to charge fully when dead, I know that's a semi-long time but the duration of the Headsets battery is wonderful. I went through hours of the sessions without charging it and it wasn't even at full when i started!

In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort. Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).
