QuestionI bought the stealth 700 gen 2 max and the tv is recognizing the dongle but the headset isn’t connecting to both PlayStation and Xbox. Have tried resyncing and updating headset via computer. Is there a way to fix this issue I have missed?

QuestionI bought this headset for the Xbox and it’s labeled as such. When sent the device it said it is for PS4&5. When I connected them to my Xbox it said connected, But cannot hear anything, also the transmitter says PS & PC

QuestionIs the USB dongle required for Xbox usage (do the headphones sync directly to my Xbox like the old model)? And will I only need to plug in the USB for Playstation, PC, and Switch usage?

- Answer The Stealth 700 GEN 2 MAX for Xbox's transmitter would be required for use on the Xbox. The headset would connect to the transmitter via a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless connection. The transmitter itself is equipped with a switch that can put it from "Xbox Mode" to "USB Mode". USB Mode would be the mode you would want to put the transmitter in when connecting it to another console for use.

QuestionMy son is telling me to find him a gaming headset where he can adjust the voice chat volume on teh headset or on the cable. He doesn't want to have to go into the settings every time he wants to raise or lower chat volume. Can the headset do this? Thanks!

- Answer Please know that independent game and chat volume controls would only be provided when the Stealth 700 GEN 2 MAX for Xbox was being used on an Xbox console with the headset in Xbox mode. When the Stealth 700 GEN 2 MAX for Xbox's transmitter is in the USB Mode, and is being used with a PlayStation console, PC, or Nintendo Switch in docked mode, there is no way to assign the Lower Volume Dial to Chat Audio. This would also be applicable to the Stealth 700 GEN 2 for PlayStation, whether it's transmitter is in USB mode or PC mode. NOTE: When the Stealth 700 GEN 2 MAX for Xbox's transmitter is placed in to USB mode, the headset's lower dial would default to controlling the volume level of the headset's Microphone. When the transmitter is in Xbox mode, the lower dial would default to controlling the volume of Chat Audio. All in all, there'd be no way to for either headset to provide you with independent game and chat controls on the PlayStation consoles. This is a result of the limitations related to the way those platforms process the audio via USB, and is not related to the headset itself.

- Answer Turtlebeaches response is either outdated or they are lying this item is most definitely NOT for sale on their site. Most likely because they want us to buy a 200 dollar gen 3.
