“Difference between Stealth 700 Gen 2 and this Stealth 700 Gen 2? From the images, I can tell this one uses it's own dongle meaning it doesn't have to rely on a separate xbox adaptor when connecting to PC but is there anything else thats better/different?”

It is both a positive and negative. Positive is that you can use this headset on pretty much every platform. The negative is that I own the Gen 2 and this Gen 2 Max and the range on this for the xbox is not as good. The proprietary xbox connection seems to have a better range than this new one’s transmitter. So if you only need it for xbox, save the money and buy the Stealth 709 Gen2, NOT the Stealth 700 Gen2 MAX.
