Are the rechargeable batteries replaceable by the end user? Batteries dont last forever, it would be a shame(and waste of money) to have to trash a 150$ headset because you cant swap a battery. null

Not without busting them open. Yes, that it a big problem with a lot of devices nowadays. There might be a place where you can have someone open them up, but having the battery available is probably not going to happen. When these no longer hold a charge, they are going to need to be replaced. Wish it wasn't so.

I’ve had my Turtlebeach XP510 for 7 years and the battery still lasts close to its original 15 hour life.

The battery on the headset itself is not a removable/replaceable part.
