By "over my fireplace, not to a wall" I infer you mean it sits on a mantel (shelf). In the Best Buy specs are the weight of the TV and the dimensions of the TV stand that is delivered with the TV. You will have to evaluate if the TV will fit on the mantel. If the mantel is sturdy and steady (there is not much chance the TV will fall down), tell Best Buy where you want the TV installed and have it put into the contract. You have to expect the Geek Squad will also evaluate the mantel. As far as the TV goes, it lives up to expectations which are high.

If the TV fits on the mantel, is the mantel level, is it flat, is it sturdy; basically, what are the chances the TV will fall down. When you buy the TV, tell Best Buy the height of the mantel and have it put in the contract that the TV will be put up there. As far as the TV goes, it lives up to expectations, which are high.
