QuestionI am using my telescoping flag pole to make a mega tree. Are the strands strong enough to hang from the top of the pole without additional support? I make the tree now with Green LED lights, but would love to upgrade to the Twinkly lights

- Answer Yes. They are standard insulated Christmas lights, but I would leave a little slack in the strings in case the pole moves. Otherwise, it'll pull the stakes out.

- Answer Depends on the length of your roof but to get the most out of the effects, you're going to want to go with icicles or clusters on your roof. The lights are spaced about 3" apart.

QuestionCan I map the lights without being on a tree, like laying across a bed or sofa or floor. I got my lites about a week ago, and the tree is packed away in the garagr, but I only have 30 days to return if not working.

QuestionHave had these for a little over a year (600 bulb set, Gen II). A few days ago half of the lights stopped working. No apparent user serviceable parts. Is there any way to fix or do I now just have half of a very expensive light set?

- Answer Usually the length should be listed in product description. That's how I decided on the 400. For a 5ft tree.

QuestionIf I purchased multiple different sets, ex: 1 w/ 400 LED's every 3.5', 1 w/ 250 LED's, & 1 w/ 100 LED's(for the purpose of length needed), will they all look silly near one another because of the varying levels of brightness? Only connectable if same?

- Answer Hi! Of course, you can also create a virtual group with strings of different lengths. Keep in mind, however, that they must have the same LEDs profile: e.g. RGB with RGB and Aww with Aww. Hope this helps! Greetings

- Answer The size of the Twinkly Icicle is 5 * 0.5 m | 16.4 * 1.6 ft, so if your window is 3 m you will be able to fully light it! Hope this helps!

- Answer Thank you for your interest! To get the syncro-music features you have two options: use the twinkly Music Dongle device or activate this function via the App (on some effects you will find a music note icon, you will only need to click on it for the effect to go to music time). Keep in mind that this second option works through the phone's microphone, so only with the App open! Hope this helps.

QuestionI have 3 strands of lights. I have created a group and then mapped them. Every morning I loose control of the app and the lights are no longer connected and the app does not work. I have tried resting and still not working. Transponders are blue / red

- Answer Hi! Yes, the Twinkly App is the same, you can also group these lights together creating a virtual group! (Just keep in mind that they must have the same LED profile for being grouped together: for example RGB with RGB, RGBW with RGBW, Aww with Aww ) The main differences between generation I and II are about performances and other features, but the App is the same! You can find more about the differences between the two generations in the Help section of our website!

You can link two or more devices together by simply creating a virtual group with the App, so you can increase the number of LEDs on your installation, allow your devices to sync together! Just keep in mind that they must have the same LED profile: for example RGB with RGB, RGBW with RGBW, Aww with Aww.! You can find other info about the grouping feature in the Help section of our website!

- Answer Hello! The number of LEDs may vary depending on the effect you want to achieve, but with a 250 LEDs string you will get a good result yet! Remember that with the grouping feature you can add to your tree two or more strings with the same LEDs profile (e.g. all RGB) Hope this helps!
