• I found the same issue when I used the USB-C to charge the device, I switched it to the “Lightning In” port instead and it immediately illuminated and the number display would increase until it reached 100, at which point I knew it was fully charged. Try this method if you have the lightning cord.

• The number on the front will blink, telling you the percentage of battery it has left. If it blinks it is charging
