I never used the JBL Partybox, But when the clerk played it in the store I was not impressed. The Hyperboom you adjust your bass level through your phone or whatever device you have that can connect to it through the bluetooth. I have the samsung galaxy s21 and I use the Equalizer through it to adjust the base but I don't as the box is great sound.
