Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, the Hyperboom certainly does NOT put out 229 watts RMS. First off, 229 watts is probably a total in "music power" which is a totally meaningless spec and it can probably only do that at 1 KHz if at all. Most likely, it can produce between 5 and 10 watts RMS per channel continuous into X ohms (what ever the nominal impedance of the speakers is) from 45 Hz to 20 KHz at what ever the maximum % THD is. I don't know why Ultimate Ears lacks the professionalism to provide a legitimate output wattage. I have a Hyperboom and I'm happy with it, not returning it. So, why not just give a true and accurate spec?
