These have an app that allows you to pair 2- its hit and miss. When it works, its awesome sounding. But sometimes two speakers do not want to pair.

Please try again later.Hi Nancy, It is unclear from your question if you mean a large outdoor area around your home or an outdoor area while "on-the-road" I do not believe you can sync these speakers. UE - Roll Wireless Bluetooth Speaker I recommend and use a Sonos system setup at our house. We have a large yard, patio, and outdoor kitchen. The Sonos system allows me to sync music in any combination of 5 different systems from indoors to outdoors. Works awesome at large parties. Sonos is a bit expensive but to me it's worth every penny.
