It does list a model XBR49A9S, which isn't listed on Sony's website, so it's possible that the 49 may be a Best Buy website typo? I did a Google search on any Sony XBR49A9S and could not find any. So, I'm beginning to think that the Best Buy listing for Sony XBR49A8S is probably a typo and may actually be your model XBR48A9S. This is directly from Best Buy's TV compatibility description: "Sony XBR55/65/75X800H, XBR55/65/75X900H, XBR55/65/75X950H, XBR55/65A8H, XBR55/65/77A9G, XBR49A9S, KD55/65/75X80J, KD55/65/75X85J, XR55/65/77A80J, XR55/65A90J, XR55/65/75X90J TV models" However, Sony's website says this in your TV's product Highlights: "Hang your TV like a work of art with the SU-WL855 ultra-slim wall-mount bracket for select Sony BRAVIA™ OLED and LED TVs.12" Since there appears to be conflicting information on this matter, I'd contact Sony or Best Buy directly and ask them if your TV will fit this mount. It's a great, high quality TV wall mount and I like mine. But, I'd recommend getting an open box mount like I did because the mount was pristine and looked brand new. But, the new price of $349 seemed a little excessive.
