Yes.. I use a dedicated server running Linux with Plex for a networked DVD and DLNA media server using 2 HDhomerun tuners with a roof mounted antenna giving me 4 channels simultaneously.. The latest release of Plex now has the ability to remove the commercials. Plex will run on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and a number of other platforms including Qnap and Synology NAS systems. Plex with the Plus service allows remote viewing on the go from your Plex server at home on multiple devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With multiple tuners available, you can record one show, and watch live another through compatible media devices. You can even begin recording a show, then start to Watch that show, and then your other tuner(s) are still available to others in the home. With regard to other 3rd party paid streaming apps, those are independent of HDHomeRun. HDHomeRun tuners can record in the background as long as the storage location is on and connected to the network
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but HDHomeRun does not have steaming apps such as YouTube.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The HDHR connects directly to your OTA antenna and to your home's network. It operates independently from any streaming device and WILL record as you steam anything. It records two channels at the same time if you want it to.
