“I am wondering, if we do not purchase the yearly subscription, can we still pause, rewind live television, and can we still record programs by setting them manually?”

• I am able to pause and resume without a subscription but in order to record or rewind, I believe you need the subscription. But for $30- $40 for the entire year it may be worth the functionality. But I haven't subscribed yet myself.

• You have to subscribe to their service. I use plex. It's 35.99 a year. I can record, pause, play, ect. I use plex because I can load more from my computer to play on my tvs.
