• Yes you will be fine as output stock is approximately 4 Watts....I would check into getting it peaked and tuned for maximum performance. If you deadkey 4 Watts swinging forward, you will be just fine.

• Mine was putting out 3 watts on am, and 12 on sideband, this is with a stock mic. A power mic would push more, but these are designed to stay in FCC specs. You can add a amp to these, but some amps only handle 2watts. These are easy to tune yourself to 2 to 4 watts.
