The uniden DSP works great and its three hundred dollar price is worth paying to own it. It does everything the reviews talk about. Is better than detectors sold for twice the price. And it is better than all the rest. Do your research and view UTUBE on various detectors and you will find out that this detector is TOP SHELF. In my opinion the best one available. I would have paid a lot more for one that might be better but I know that this is the best. It out performs all the others and is a great value.

Please try again later.Hi ,I brought the same one your asking about how far ( how many miles )does it pick up on police radar : " I would say at least a mile if they are sitting still and if they're driving towards you ,it could be 5 miles,I love it ! It has an advanced mode where you can take out all the little speed limit signs that have the radar on them and maybe the stores at your ride by everyday when it's on Advanced you can program it to stop the noise created by speed limit radar signs andok store burglar alarms

I don't concern myself with the distance because when the dog barks SLOW DOWN. You can not look left or right to see who is hiding around the corners just trust the detector doing its job. Remember, You might not hear your detectors WARNING if your RADIO is LOUD. So pay attention and check your speed. No one needs a FIVE mile over Ticket.
