• Stereo speakers rely on the presence of an amplifier. In a wired system the stereo receiver does the amplification. A wireless signal needs to be amplified at some point. In the absence of an amplifier that is part of the wireless receiver for the only alternative would be self contained speakers-i.e. speakers with built in amplifiers.

• I would have to say no. You have to have something to power the speakers themselves.
