No credit card is needed. You bought 3 months of service that is what you get. it will ask you to enter one for billing purposes once the three months ends to continue with unreal mobile. For entering you cc info they give you 500mb of extra data the for the rest month. Unlike freedom Pop unreal mobile throttles your data to 2g speeds after you have used you allotment for the month. You get plenty of reminders. If you want more data you can either upgrade or buy it outright. I suggest that you add data saver for 2.50 a month. It compresses your data on their equipment. If you used a gig they only show 500 mb. It's like getting and extra gb for 2.50 a month.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't actually have to enter a credit card # when you activate the SIM with Unreal, but if you want it to renew your plan after 90 days, you'll need to put in your payment info. And, since this is technically already an "Unlimited" plan, unless you select the option to buy more high-speed data if you go over the limit. I've not ever gone over my 1 Gig/mo. high speed data limit, but if I were, the phone would still have data, but at a slow speed, I believe 2G speed. So I could still use the phone & text, and it would be adequate to check my email. But, as I say, I've not gotten close to using up 1 Gig in any single month. Incidentally, Unreal is actually operated by FreedomPop, I think--which I've used some in the past, but not anymore, after they shifted all their accounts to Red Pocket. I don't really like FreedomPop anymore.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use pay pal to make payments, and you don't put credit on it as you do with freedom pop, you pay monthly or every 3 months And once you're high speed it as used up it goes to low speed data with no overages. Also though they say it's a number that, really it's limited to 5000 minutes and 5000 texts. This is still not prohibit of most at the time for anyone.
