If you're sitting or standing upright properly, but still have slumped shoulders, the device will probably not detect it. However, the instructions do mention that the device does not necessarily have to be placed at the direct center or your back. It didn't mention the possibility of placing it near your shoulders, but I believe it's sensitive enough to detect if they are not upright in the correct position. This is something you many want to ask the maker of the Upright Go directly. They may be able to give you better guidance on your question. It's a good one.

I've had moments when I just stayed slouched over thru the constant pulsing, but after a few weeks I forced myself to heed the warning. A month later and I find myself sitting up straight and rolling my shoulders back when I'm NOT wearing the device :) IT WORKS!! Personally...I found braces and bras far too restrictive for the long days I spend at my desk.

Please try again later.I’ve had bad posture since high school (I sit behind the computer for work for long hours) and I’ve tried different models of strap braces but they are almost always uncomfortable especially under the arm and they kinda bend to the posture over time. I have had very good posture correction with this in the past couple of weeks and I even feel slight pain/strengthening in my back muscles meaning it is helping my muscles to help the posture. Totally recommend it over a strap brace

Also they have a really nice app that shows your posture and you can track what percentage during the day you slouched vs good posture. Really good product and easy to use and so much better than a brace. This is gonna help you build good habits compared to forcing your body by a hrace.

It is all adjustable through the app. It also has training mode to help spend a set amount of time practicing correct posture while doing normal activity.
