This unit has optional reverse lines that can be enabled and calibrated to 3 levels (low, medium, high), though I didn't quite work out what those settings did. We established where the lines were by measuring to a known device that was on one of the lines in the picture to set our own reference distance. Up to you if you think this would help with your trailer work since the view from the camera would be obscured by the trailer in most installations.

Just make sure you are placing the rear camera where you can see the best angle view for your situation. I have one on my bumper that is to the right of my hitch. Don't recommend it. Over middle / center is best . Remember this unit shows your rear view as what your rear mirror shows all the time. Telling someone I didn't see your lights because I was looking at my hitch wouldn't be the best idea. Find a happy medium. Good luck
