• Double layer disks give you more capacity without having to turn the disk over, they are 8.5GB on one side, regular DVD's are 4.7GB

• This is a dual layer disc. Only copies on one side but double the content. It can hold an entire HD movie.

• This is a double layer DVD meaning it can hold twice as much information as a regular DVD.

• The DVD+R DL has two layers allowing of up to 8.5GB to be written at one time. A double sided disc would need to be flipped over allowing 4.7GB per side. Each side would need to be written one at a time. Please note that Verbatim double sided discs have been out of production for about 10 years.
