A:Answer there are 2 options for calling/texting. I just bought this for my son, and wish i would've know this first..
first option, is you create the saved contacts as " calling " permissions. which only allows that contact to be called from the gizmo.
OR to be able to text, the contact saved has to download the gizmo hub app. you must then send an invitation to them. it is NOT like standard texting. the contact must only text through this app. and not through their phone number to gizmo.
Now, that being said, I think I prefer it that way. Although, it is harder to get everyone to download the app to their phones ( grandma and grandpa ); it is much safer for our son. no telemarketers can call his number, or no random people can message him, ect.
