YES. As simple as plugging it into a place which every car and truck has right by your right knee cap. Order the app, install it, and you're good to go.

One is a reader (has a block shape) that plugs into the OBD II port of your vehicle. The other is the speaker unit that clips to your sun visor. The OBD II reader is the important piece. It monitors your vehicle and has GPS. That's how it can give you a vehicle location. You can also get stats on your vehicle, such as miles driven, average speed, highest speed, idle time, etc. You may also be notified if it detects anything wrong with the vehicle, such as low battery voltage. NOTE: Location is not exact! For example, my vehicles show to be at a non-existent numerical address but does show on a map to be pretty much correct. I'd guess that it's within a block. Making sure your vehicle is turned off, locate your OBD II port (go online if you're not sure where it is), checking the orientation of the connector (shaped basically like a D) and plug it in. There is a small LED symbol on the reader that should light up when plugged in. In my Mustang the reader is backwards and you cannot see the LED. In my Silverado you can. Can hardly be any easier. BUT NOTE: some vehicles have OBD II ports behind panels/covers. These may interfere with the reader. Check the internet for your specific vehicle Make/Model. Follow the instructions with the unit and you should have no problems. You may need to drive it for several miles before you get a message (email or thru the APP you install on your smart phone) saying that it's activated and working. I've installed four units over three years and have had no problems so far. Good luck!
