• No, but it usually can't be tracked when it is connected

• No, it can only send a signal utilizing the OBD port. That is what powers it. I owned this unit for 5 days and called tech support 10x. Try Mastrack, a true GPS system.

• There is NO tracking if it's removed. It gets it power from the car. It will alert if it's been removed.

• Unfortunately to our knowledge it can not be tracked without be plugged into the OBDII sensor
