Q: QuestionI am a Verizon customer and losing my current cable ISP provider - very rural. Looking for options. Can the Jetpack allow me to send documents from my laptop to my printer or can it work with a router to do that? Does it include a cell signal booster?

• A:Answer This device puts out a Wi-Fi signal just as if you were at say like McDonald's or something. So yes if you hook your laptop and your printer up to the Wi-Fi it will work flawlessly. I have my printer hooked up through this is the only connection I print documents all the time off of my main computer. As far as signalboost I think you can buy an antenna but I have never used it. This gets its signal from Verizon cell towers just like your phone. So if you have good cell service you generally have good wifi.

• A:Answer After purchasing an 8800L (not from Verizon) a very helpful Verizon rep took me through the process of moving my 8800L to the phone number that was associated with a hotspot I was replacing. The process wasn't obvious on the website, but essentially involves the general procedure for transferring a phone number to a new device. Since this was a device replacement keeping the same phone number, I was told there would not be any activation fee.
